If I could give negative stars on this company I would. Auben Realty was our first ever experience with a rental company and it was far from pleasant from the beginning. We moved into this house that I absolutely loved due to the size and price but it had its quirks. First it was falsely listed as a house with a washer and dryer already inside the home, okay so no big deal other than having to dish more money out of our pocket. Secondly, when we moved in we did not have heat for weeks during the coldest time of the year due to the gas not working. We did not know the meter was cut off, so they charged us $50 since we had someone sent out there for that. Come to find out it was not turned on due to there being a gas leak. So it took even longer for us to be warm during the month of Feb. Then after only 7 months of renting this house the tree right next to it fell on it during the hurricane that GA experienced back in September. We were told that due to the damages caused that there would be no inspection. We cleaned out what we could safely and moved on, found another place. Then we get a bill for over 1K due to damages not caused by the storm. The entire house was damaged from being flooded, the foundation being shot, and the electrical was cut. Also it was unsafe to be in that house for long amounts of time due to the mold and insulation. We had to leave an entire bedroom untouched. Being on the first or second floor was dangerous due to either A) someone falling through the second floor or B) something falling on someones head on the first floor. Not to mention going up and down the stairs. All that after they told us not to worry about an inspection in writing. Charging us to paint walls in a house that will have to be torn down and rebuilt along with other outrageous fees. Crazy right? A few fees were understandable such as the yard cleanup, but this company promised us our first and last months rent back as well due to have to move so quickly and unexpectedly. So whatever small fees we owed should have at least been covered by that. But it wasn't. I would never do business with this company ever again. There are also a lot of other people in Augusta GA that could complain about this company as well. Oh and the address is 3107 Lake Forest Drive #B, its in the back of another house. I can post pictures later. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.
